Rick Breslin
The story begins in the fall of 1995. I was starting my freshman year at Merrimack College, and I was going through the motions of my business undergrad with a degree in Accounting (what?). I was clueless as to what I wanted to do with my life, I was just following the course curriculum. Then, my Dad asked me to build a website for his company, StaRflex, a flexible circuit board manufacturer. This is where it gets interesting.
I grabbed a copy of Netscape 2.0 Gold (I can't believe I still remember this), the "Gold" edition let you create web pages using their WYSIWYG editor. All text was centered, the background was gray, the images were sitting on their own lines with ridiculous spacing, and a LinkExchange banner sat at the bottom of the page for good measure. I even had a couple <blink> tags (shoot me now).
